Patient history
In this clinical case, you can see the possibilities of surgical correction for bone tissue deficiency. After tooth extraction, an irreversible process of bone loss begins, and the longer a patient remains without teeth, the more the bone resorbs. There are cases where it is impossible to place implants without a preliminary stage of bone reconstruction.
Treatment
In such cases, we first perform a surgical preparatory stage — bone grafting. After 6–8 months, implants are placed, followed by gum tissue grafting and the subsequent installation of crowns on the implants.
Result
Augmentation ensures the effectiveness of subsequent implantation; therefore, the professionalism of the doctors, as well as the quality of materials and the choice of methodology, play a decisive role.
